I was quite fond of this game when I was younger, but according to Tom, my sentiments lay biased from rose tinted glasses
Also, lulz Tom McShea:

Uh... what ?!
This looked like it wa shaping up to be a brilliant remake. Kept in spirit of the original one and also the songs were remade brilliantly. Will watch the review and see what is so wrong with it :?

Apparently not enough checkpoints leads to frustration, but then the bosses are too easy, so its boring.

I think this is very much like Rise of The Triad, if you want to play a game that's very remniscent of old school games, you got to take some of the frustrations with it.
I'm actually interested in buying Ducktales for the soundtrack alone. Too bad you can't buy a version that has an OST.
So someone who doesn't like the original game tells us what he thinks of the remake of this game he doesn't like.
Very enlightening.

Boss: "Hey Tom, did you ever play the original Duck Tales?"
Tom: "Yeah, I hated it."
Boss: "Great! You've been assigned to review the remake."

He's a horrible reviewer, but who cares when Metacritic is the standard
BPoole96
He ruins metacritic scores though. Look at the current reviews so far for this game

Polygon gave it a 5/10, but they're also a joke site. They're also the ones that gave TLOU a 7.5 and Dragon's Crown a 6.5 because it features overly curvy women.

Its because reviewlord Greg Kasavin left

I'm glad he did leave though. Had he not left, we may not have ever gotten Bastion or Transistor.

This, Gamespot probably doesn't have enough money to pay for legitimate reviewersBPoole96

I wish he still did reviews and just put them up on youtube or something :(
Do you even understand the irony of repeating this stupid fvcking tagline over and over? That is the score Mario rehashes should be getting.

Easily the worst reviewer
Why is he still employed?
Sweenix
this, its like hes trying to get himself some attention at the expense of credible reviews and game scores.
lol oh your still here. He's a horrible reviewer, but who cares when Metacritic is the standard

Remember, kids! Tom McShea hates what you like, and likes what you hate.
Asagea_888
yeah he has this in his profile pretty much proving he scores games to go against "the flow" and not because he's being objective.

True, what good is a reviewer to us ? We can make up our own opinions about how good or bad a video game is.
Now making games like Bastion, that is something we can't do.
